The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed about the substantial variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company point developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard SRD with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a sassa status service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
